APRS TO DAPNET Using the APTDAP Gateway
DAPNET is a network of POCSAG transmitters, nodes and subscribers run by the team at https://hampager.de/. POCSAG allows short text messages over RF to be sent to personal pager. You can send messages using the DAPNET mobile app, website or API.
Now you can send messages to your licensed ham friends pagers using the familiar APRS system using your hand held radio, mobile device or even via HF Shortwaves using JS8CALL!
Instructions in the PDF format on how to send a DAPNET message using APTDAP gateway are available here : https://2e0wwv.net/ATPDAP_an_aprs2dapnet_gateway.pdf
This service is run by 2E0WWV for the Cross Counties Amateur Radio Club CCARC ... Check us out on YSF GB-CCARC and BM23591 / Echolink 506929.
APTDAP is not substitute for emergency communications. It is provided as is with no warranty or guarantee. Do not abuse it - you will be banned, possibly without hope of redemption as I don't have the time to police it 24/7 so the firewall rules here. Use it free and have fun, experiment - just be fair and don't spam people or the APRS service it relies upon.
Thanks goto Ronald and the Hampager team for their help in setting up this service. DAPNET is a truly awesome service!

JS8CALL to DAPNET!
In your JS8CALL send a message to APTDAP like so...
<YOURCALL>: @APRSIS CMD :APTDAP :<DEST CALL> DAPNET MSG VIA JS8CALL 20M
Just like an APRS Text Message the CMD needs to be 9 characters long... APTDAP + 3 spaces !!! This is not negotiable, it won't send off its not 9 letters long.
I sent a DAPNET to my friend in LONDON via ROMANIA using 5W on 20m band! I love JS8CALL!
Enjoy!
